Welcome to the Kohler Community, designed to help you get inspired, share ideas and photos, and join the conversation. Our community is built around open, honest discourse and exchanging ideas. That said, we do have a few rules and guidelines to help make it the best it can be for everyone.

Here's how it works:

Photo review

Our review team looks at each photo for appropriateness and quality. We will decline to post a photo that contains anything objectionable or obscene, and likewise any photo that is out of focus or of otherwise poor quality.

Our guidelines require that each photo contains at least one Kohler product. The exception is when you submit a series of photos of one room - like a kitchen. It's okay to post a photo without a Kohler product if there isn't one in that view of the room.

We won't post any photos whose descriptions contain objectionable material like obscenities or hate speech. We may contact you and request that you rewrite your description, or we may simply decline to post your photo. If we don't post your photo, we will send you an e-mail explaining why.

We'll try to post photos in a timely manner, but please allow 48 hours, especially on weekends.

Comment review

We will only post blog or photo gallery comments that are relevant and appropriate to the Kohler Community. Our system filters out bad words – they will be detected and you’ll receive an auto-response asking you to edit your copy before we agree to post your comment. If we see anything else that violates our Terms of Use, we'll remove it.

We encourage our community members to let us know about unacceptable material. If you see something offensive in a comment or description, click the "Report abuse" link, choose the type of abuse you're seeing, and submit your feedback. We'll review the content and determine whether it violates our Terms of Use.

Three strikes policy

We reserve the right to end your participation if you won't play nice. In most cases, we will give you two "free passes," but upon your third violation we will terminate your account.

Your responsibility

Here are the rules to live by when it comes to participating in the Kohler Community:

1. Don't submit, post, upload, or distribute any User-Generated Content that:
   1. is defamatory, abusive, harassing, insulting, threatening, or that could constitute an invasion of a right of privacy of another person
   2. is bigoted, hateful, or racially or otherwise offensive
   3. is violent, vulgar, obscene, or pornographic
   4. is illegal or encourages or advocates illegal activity or the discussion of illegal activities with the intent to commit them
   5. infringes on or violates any copyrights, patents, trademarks or trade secrets.

2. Don't distribute another person's personal information without their permission.
3. Don't submit any software or other computer files that contain a virus or other harmful component that might otherwise impair or damage the Kohler Sites.
4. Don't impersonate anyone else, including using another person's username, password or other account information, or another person's name, likeness, voice, image or photograph.
5. Make sure any content you post to the site belongs to you.
6. Try to stay on-topic: Don't upload content or make comments that aren't in line with the designated topic or theme of the blog or photo gallery.
7. Professionals: Although our Terms of Use prohibit advertising and using our community for commercial purposes, we want you to be able to connect with community members who may be interested in your work. You can identify yourself and your firm in your user profile and include your Web address.
